Sep 09, 2015 After upgrading my Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro, the notebook speaker was not working. Tried to install the Conexant audio driver, but was blocked by Windows 10 because the digital signature was not valid (old driver). Tried suggestions from the web about disabling the digital signature enforcement, but failed. A problem with the Conexant audio means that you may hear no sound in Windows 10 even though everything appears to be working correctly. Microsoft suggests running msconfig.exe, then click on the Boot tab.
Audio Not Working Windows 7
I have a Compact C770US laptop that uses Conexant Audio Driver. The driver was installed automatically during Windows 10 installation.
Has your microphone stopped working after you installed the latest Windows 10 build? Well, I can tell you that you are not the only user who is having an issue with the audio drivers on Windows 10. Follow the lines below and you will be able to fix your audio microphone driver and get going with your normal daily work.
I found a fix for no Sound/Audio on Windows 10! (Conexant SmartAudio HD) I couldnt seem to find any fixes for it on Reddit or elsewhere on the internet, I tried a couple but none of them worked, I updated my drivers, reinstalled them, still nothing but I got them to work.
I was troubleshooting sound volume issue and decided to uninstall the driver. But when I try to reinstall the driver, I get an 'x' next to the speaker symbol. The error is that the driver is unsigned and Windows has disabled it.
I tried following instruction below:
But I still get an error after reboot and try to reinstall the driver:
instead of getting a dialog to override the signing check. But the driver is installed automatically through windows update. What can I do now?

Hi,
Windows 10 Conexant Audio Not Working Windows 10
After upgrading my Windows 7 Pro to Windows 10 Pro, the notebook speaker was not working. Tried to install the Conexant audio driver, but was blocked by Windows 10 because the digital signature was not valid (old driver). Tried suggestions from the web about disabling the digital signature enforcement, but failed. After uninstall the Conexant driver in device manager, Windows updated it with it own audio driver, but it did not work.
Notebook: Toshiba Satellite M300 Series.
Audio device: Conexant High Definition SmartAudio 221.
Any suggestions?
Thank you.
Jon
